Company History
1963 Jon Jessen started his first agricultural input business to provide products and service to local growers
1974 Gowan Company formed to manage formulation of crop protection chemicals and retail functions
1990 Gowan de Mexico established to supply premium products and service to Mexico’s specialty crop growers
1991 Gowan Company purchased Imidan rights in the U.S., its first proprietary product
1993 Gowan Company acquired DCNA (Dicloran) from Nor-Am Chemical Company
1996 Gowan entered further into international markets after obtaining world-wide rights to Imidan
2002 Acquisition of Fenarimol and Fenazaquin from Dow AgroSciences
2003 Acquisition of Eptam, Eradicane (EPTC) NAFTA rights from Syngenta
2004 Acquisition of Triallate from Monsanto
2005 Gowan Comércio Internacional e Servicos, Limitada is formed.
