Louisiana Tech University seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in our Chemical Engineering Program. For candidates with exceptional credentials, appointment at a higher rank may be possible. Applicants with research in electrocatalysis or a related area of study are especially encouraged to apply, although applicants with research in other areas will also be considered. Faculty members are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise graduate students in their theses, establish and sustain an externally funded research program, and provide service to the department, the university and the profession. A strong commitment to collaborative, cross-disciplinary research is especially desirable.
A Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline is required. Candidates for associate or full professor rank should have demonstrated evidence of leadership in the field at the national and international level, respectively.

The Chemical Engineering program, accredited by ABET, has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 200 students. Notable resources include the Institute for Micromanufacturing which provides shared micro-/nano-scale fabrication and materials characterization equipment and training, the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation Science (CBERS) which includes 5,500 square feet of electronically controlled access space dedicated to first-class animal research facilities, and the Louisiana Optical Network Infrastructure (LONI), which offers high-performance computing resources shared across the state.
